We Are AgeSong: Intergenerational, Multicultural Perspectives

AgeSong at Bayside Park Welcomes French Visitors

Matthias and Myrianne, two medical students from France, are visiting AgeSong.  They both are fluent in English. Myrianne has a beginner’s knowledge of German and Italian.  She loves tap dancing, singing, running, fitness training,  and traveling. Myrianne says, “I feel concerned about making people feel good around me, and helping people who need to be assisted and who are losing their autonomy.” The students are interested in AgeSong’s philosophy and mission to counter the mainstream understanding of aging as decline and/or disease with a more expansive, humanistic, and creative vision and approach.

AgeSong at Bayside Park Welcomes Japanese Caregivers

View Event Below…

On Wednesday, July 11, a group of 23 to 25 Japanese caregivers are visiting AgeSong at Bayside Park.

This is the first trip to America for all of these students and they are looking forward to learning about how we provide care to our elders here in America. The caregivers themselves are striving to strike a balance between the hard work and the recognition that compassionate care begins with yourself.
