As Fred Olson’s body is wheeled out of AgeSong, the senior community’s founder Nader Shabahangi is offered a basket with red and white flower petals. Shabahangi solemnly sprinkles the colorful petals on the white sheet that covers Olson’s body.

G. Allen Power, MD is Eden Mentor at St. John’s Home in Rochester, NY, and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester. He is a board certified internist and geriatrician, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians / American Society for Internal Medicine.
On Sunday, May 6, from 1 pm to 7 pm, Stagebridge, the first organization in the country to offer classes for elders, teams up with AgeSong Elder and Assisted Living Communities, to offer jazz, improv, storytelling, playback theater, and a musical variety show. The event will take place in a NEW Center for Arts and Community at the corner of Hayes and Laguna, in the heart of San Francisco.

A new robot, designed to help elders with all kinds of care and other needs, will be featured Monday, April 16, at 11 am at AgeSong, Bayside Park, in Emeryville. Residents and the press are welcome to attend this special robotic presentation.
