Consider the following. We humans are social beings. We come into the world as the result of others’ actions. We survive here in dependence on others. Whether we like it or not, there is hardly a moment of our lives when we do not benefit from others’ activities. For this reason, it is hardly surprising that most of our happiness arises in the context of our relationships with others.
Nader presented the following 11 vision statements at the CRD/OPS meeting on January 25, 2012. All feedback appreciated.
1. AgeSong and AgeSong Institute are vision driven organizations which believe in redefining aging as providing us with the possibility to mature into the role of the wise elder and how to love more deeply all that is.

AgeSong’s Forget-Me-Not Cafe fills each month with elders and aspiring elders, gathered together to learn what it means to be an elder. Today elders are scarcely available to guide and initiate the young and lead our communities to make wise decisions. The old have not been given the skills and ability to be elders. We need to train elders if we want to help individuals living in our communities and societies with the important tasks of supporting and guiding the younger in age and experience, for being older does not make an elder.

The literal definition of nourishment is the sustenance necessary for growth, health, and good condition.
As part of the AgeSong approach to assisted living, Dining Services starts with the physical nourishment, but it’s not where we end. My name is Janna O’Sullivan, and I am the Senior Director of Dietary Services for Agesong. Food, and all that pertains to food, is my life.
