We lucked out! AgeSong Bayside Park was awarded 14 new Student Interns who are both taking classroom training at the AgeSong Institute and who will be applying their training by supporting residents and their families from now through mid-July, 2013.
Most are PsyD and MFT candidates who are earning experience in the field to qualify for accreditation. With a broad range of experience working with special populations, these students are highly motivated to both learn and offer support to the elders at Bayside Park.
Many of the student interns speak a second language, such as French, Hindi and other Indian dialects, Japanese, and Mandarin, which will be appreciated by residents who also speak those languages.
The Treasure Hunt
To get to know the facility and to get to know each other, staff and interns partnered up for a Treasure Hunt at Bayside Park the fist day of the students’ orientation.
