Fillmore Jazz Festival 2012 | July 7 – 8
Every summer, The Fillmore Jazz Festival welcomes more than 90,000 enthusiastic guests to San Francisco, who gather to celebrate a prosperous traditional of jazz, culture and cuisine, against the picturesque backdrop of San Francisco.

Art with Elders | Every Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. | AgeSong at Hayes Valley Care
Summer afternoons are a wonderful time to get creative. At AgeSong of San Francisco, Art with Elders is a weekly class lead by certified art therapists, who inspire the creative process in a range of mediums. This art class is open to elders and their families.

The Taste of Belgium 2012 | Fort Mason | July 13
Stella Artois will host a festival at Fort Mason celebrating Belgium: heritage, culture, cuisine, and Belgian beers. The event will feature live music, boules courts, Belgian beer sampling, beer school and the Mussels Throwdown. The competition will showcase new recipes with judges critiquing each dish and ultimately deciding the winner.

Film Night in the Park: The Artist | Union Square | July 14

Every summer Film Night in the Park puts on free outdoor movies in parks throughout San Francisco and Marin County. Films are shown in beautiful park settings and projected on a giant outdoor screen.
About The Artist: Winner: 2011 Academy Award for Best Picture. Michel Hazanavicius’ stylistically daring, dialogue-free comedy-drama The Artist stars Jean Dujardin as George Valentin, a matinee idol in Hollywood before the dawn of talkies. His marriage is far from perfect, and one day he meets ambitious chorus girl Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo) and is smitten.
“So You Think You Can Paint?” Art Party | SoMa | Every Thursday – 6:00 pm
Self-billed as “The World’s Most Creative Happy Hour,” bring a friend, paint a masterpiece at “So You Think You Can Paint?” at Club Six which opens up their walls every Thursday to all who want to paint.
The concept is simple, you bring the artistic talent and they provide the space, paint, brushes, tunes, cheap drinks and a ton of wall space for all to paint. The idea is to complete as many 8 foot pieces as possible before 11pm.
