Through spring/summer 2012, Openhouse and AgeSong are hosting a free support group series for LGBT Caregivers. For more information please email fairley@openhouse-sf.org.
Founded in San Francisco in 1998, Openhouse works to create community for San Francisco Bay Area lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) seniors to overcome the unique challenges they face as they age by providing housing advocacy, services, and community programs. Openhouse works to reduce isolation and empower LGBT seniors to improve their health, well-being, and economic security.
AgeSong of San Francisco, also called AgeSong at Hayes Valley and Laguna Grove, proudly supports CommunityGrows this summer and all year long. AgeSong of San Francisco is located in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood. We specialize in providing assisted living, “forgetfulness care” and behavioral health support for residents and families. AgeSong is owned by Pacific Institute, a Bay Area non-profit organization serving elders through care, education, and research. AgeSong Assisted Living Communities offer residents, even those who are highly health challenged, stimulating activities and outings that take full advantage of San Francisco’s distinctive resources.
